Carnival party at Gladstone (07/03/09)
Sandra se perdió los carnavales en Alemania, así que organizamos nuestra propia fiesta en casa. Desde una ducha hasta un forzudo de circo, pasando por los mismísimos Village People, acudieron a la llamada.
Sandra missed the carnival in Germany so we organized our own party at home. From a shower to a circus strongman, and even the Village People, turned up.

Ireland (14/03/09)
Una escapada de fin de semana a Irlanda del Norte. La noche del viernes la pasamos en una casa de campo, donde nos pusimos las botas el sábado por la mañana con un desayuno inglés completo. Visitamos la zona de La Calzada del Gigante y luego marchamos hacia Belfast siguiendo la ruta costera. Allí nuestro hostel nos la jugó haciendo 'overbooking' y encima el tío era un gilipollas de cuidado que hasta amenazó con llamar a la policía... por suerte encontramos otro. De Belfast no dio tiempo a ver mucho, tan solo hicimos el típico paseo en autobús turístico.
A weekend trip to Northern Ireland. We spent Friday night in a cottage, where we had a nice full English breakfast the following morning. We visited Giant's Causeway and then we headed to Belfast following the coastal route. There we discovered our hostel had overbooked and that the guy at reception was an asshole that even threatened to call the police on us... luckyly enough we managed to find another place. We couldn't see much of Belfast with our limited time, just hopped on one of the touristic tour buses.

St Patrick's (17/03/09)
Lo celebramos en McGintys, el único pub irlandés en Ipswich que yo sepa. Unas cuantas pintas de Guinness, como manda la tradición, y nos hicimos con unos cuantos sombreros conmemorativos!
We celebrated the day at McGintys, the only Irish pub in Ipswich as far as I know. Several pints of Guinness, following the tradition, and we got a few commemorative hats!

Una visita corta a la familia anticipando que no iba a volver por casa en una temporada con tanto viaje planeado.
A short visit to the family anticipating I wouldn't be going back home in a while because of so many trips planned.
Mallorca (30/03/09)
Otro descanso obligatorio entre contratos, así que aproveché la semana para ir a visitar a mi hermano en Mallorca. Jackie estaba en la misma situación y también se apuntó al viaje. El tiempo fue bastante malo y nuestras visitas fueron pasadas por agua, aunque ya al final el sol se animó a salir. Pero bueno, estuvo bien y comimos mejor :D
Another mandatory break between contracts, so I decided to make the best use of the week and visit my brother in Mallorca. Jackie joined because we were both in the same situation. The weather was rather bad and we got rainy visits to places, at the end the sun dared to come out a bit though. But well, it was good and we ate even better :D
