Trans una larga temporada en Ipswich, Rafa decidió trasladarse a Colombia para llevar a cabo labores humanitarias durante nueve meses. Y claro, no podía irse sin una fiesta, con su barbacoa, morcillita de Burgos, unas tortillitas que estaban de muerte y había hasta diabólica absenta (a la que no me acerqué demasiado...).After a long time in Ipswich Rafa decided to move to Colombia for nine months of humanitarian work. And of course he couldn't leave wihout throwing a party, barbeque included, and black pudding from Burgos, some really good tortillas and even some evil absynthe (I avoided the latest...).Una fiesta memorable, con un discurso final más memorable aún, jeje.A memorable party, with a final speech even more memorable, hehe.
Una visita bastante corta, llegamos a Londres a mediodía y fuimos a dar una vuelta por el carnaval de Notting Hill. Para cuando llegamos las cabalgatas ya habían pasado, aunque las calles seguían llenas de gente y música a todo volumen. No nos quedamos mucho rato y fuimos a Hyde Park para descansar un poco tirados en el césped. Más tarde fuimos a cenar con unos amigos de David.A quite short visit, we arrived in London in the afternoon and we went to the Notting Hill carnival for a walk. By the time we arrived the parade was over, but the streets were still full of people and loud music. We didn't stay for long and went instead to Hyde Park to rest for a while lying on the grass. Later we went for dinner with a couple of David's friends.Me empieza a tocar la moral que los domingos haya siempre mantenimiento en el ferrocarril, nos obliga a coger un autobús durante buena parte del recorrido. De casualidad nos encontramos con Eva y Jose en el tren, que también habían pasado el día en Londres, jeje.I'm starting to get fed up with the railworks every Sunday, we had to take a bus for a considerable part of the way. By chance we met Eva and Jose in the train, they had also spent the day in London, hehe.
Al día siguiente del cumpleaños de Lenni hubo que levantarse temprano, tocaba visita al parque de atracciones Thorpe Park. Y eso que a mí nunca me gustaron este tipo de cosas, pero he de admitir que estuvo muy bien (aunque no estoy seguro de querer volver a repetirlo).Next day after Lenni's birthday I had to wake up early, I went with some guys to the Thorpe Park. I never enjoyed this kind of stuff, but I have to admit it was really fun (though I'm not sure I want to repeat).Unos vídeos vienen mejor que explicar las atracciones ^^Some videos will do better than explaining the different attractions ^^
No llevaba ni un día de vuelta en Ipswich cuando... ¡fiesta! Lenni se nos hizo algo más mayor y lo celebreamos con una fiesta cubana en bar 19, barbacoa incluida. Aunque para variar no hubo apenas disfraces :PI had arrived in Ipswich less than a day ago when... party! Lenni grew a bit older and we celebrated it with a Cuban party at bar19, barbeque included. However there were not many people in disguise, as usual :PCabe destacar que fue la primera vez que probé la gelatina al vodka (diabólica). María nos la hizo probar a casi todos, claro que donde las dan las toman :DI must mention it was the first time I tried the vodka jelly (evil stuff). María made almost all of us try it, but she was not going to avoid it herself :D
Casi tres semanitas de vuelta en Sevilla, no había pasado tanto tiempo en casa desde que me vine a Ipswich hace ya dos años... Tiempo de relax, tomar cervecitas en el bar de la comunidad, tapitas, ver familia (incluyendo a parte de mi familia de Holanda que vino de visita) y amigos, y disfrutar del sol (no tanto del calor). Lástima que no hice apenas fotos.Almost three weeks back in Seville, I hadn't spent so long back home since I came to Ipswich two years ago... Time for relax, drinking beer at the community's bar, "tapas", meeting family (including part of my family from the Netherlands who visited us) and friends, and enjoy the sun (not so much the high temperatures). A pity I just took a bunch of pictures.
