Xavi's birthday (07-11-2007)

El pasado día 7 fue el cumpleaños de Xavi, 25 añitos, cuartazo de siglo (¡¡muajajaja!!). Ni nos habríamos enterado si no fuera porque nos lo estuvo recordando una y otra vez con un par de semanas de antelación... ¡hasta él mismo organizó su cena "sorpresa" en Cricketers! jeje. Pues nos juntamos bastante gente y hasta le cantamos cumpleaños feliz (en inglés).

Xavi's 25th birthday was last 7th of November (a quearter of a century, gwahaha!!). We wouldn't have even known about it if he hadn't reminded it to us once and again since two weeks in advance... he organized his "surprise" dinner at Cricketrs himself! hehe. We were quite a lot of people, and we even sang happy birthday (in English) to him.

Y bueno, aunque las andanzas de Xavi en su equipo de rugby no fueron muy bien (hombro dislocado), le regalamos la camiseta de rugby de Inglaterra y un balón de rugby (por si aún no se le han quitado las ganas una vez esté recuperado del todo).

And well, although Xavi's experience in his rugby team was not the best one (dislocated shoulder), we gave him England's rugby t-shirt and a rugby ball (in case he still feels like playing again once he's fully recovered) as presents.

Qué mal yuyu oye

Hoy he entrado en este sitio web, en castellano. Y bueno, no es que tenga un interés especial por saber qué días voy a morir ni cómo, pero por curiosidad he hecho la prueba en lo que ellos llaman billete de segunda clase (al otro barrio, supongo) y encontré algo así como:

Claro está no me hizo mucha ilusión, así que introduje los datos de nuevo (los mismos) y esta vez moría en el 2065 por la caída de un meteorito (al menos dudo que fuese a morir sólo, tendría muy buena puntería el jodío meteorito...). Pues bueno, si alguien quiere probar, ahí queda eso.

Today I visited this website, in Spanish. And well, not that I'm really interested in knowing when I'm going to die nor how, but just for curiosity I tried what they call second class ticket (billete de segunda clase) and I got something like:

London weekend (26-10-2007)

Hace un par de semanas decidimos pasar el fin de semana en Londres. Éramos alrededor de diez personas y nos repartimos en dos hostales. El viernes fuimos a Koko, un teatro convertido a discoteca. Hubo actuación en directo, pero nos la perdimos porque entramos demasiado tarde... ¡¡después de terminar el botellón!!

A couple of weeks ago we decided to spend a weekend in London. We were around ten people staying in two different hostels. On Friday we went clubbing to Koko, a theatre coverted into a night club. There was some live music, but we missed it because we arrived too late... after finishing our botellón!!

El sábado nos pasamos por Camden y estuvimos dando vueltas por el mercado. Por la noche fuimos todos a cenar. Tras la cena algunos decidimos volvernos al hostal mientras otros fueron de nuevo de fiesta... a The Storm, una discoteca a la que probablemente no volverán.

On Saturday we went to Camden and wandered in the market. At night we had dinner all together and after that some of us decided to go back to the hostel. The rest went clubbing again... to The Storm, a club they probably won't go back again.

El domingo nos separamos en dos grupos: un grupo fue al museo de cera Madame Tussauds; yo fui con el resto a Covent Garden, donde había algunas actuaciones en público.

On Sunday we divided in two groups: one of the groups went to the wax musseum Madame Tussauds; I went with the other group to Covent Garden where there were some jugglars.

Cumpleaños feliz (20-10-2007)

Esta vez nos tocó a Javi, a Javi y a mi. La verdad es que se notó que mucha gente se está marchando de Ipswich, no conseguimos llenar Gladstone como en otras ocasiones. Pero una fiesta es una fiesta y estuvo bastante bien. Eso sí, a la hora de abrir los regalos... alguien me debe una por hacerme abrir una caja tras otra para encontrar otra caja más dentro :P

This time it was Javi's and Javi's and my own turn. The truth is we noticed how many people have left Ipswich, we could not fill Gladstone as we did in other parties. But a party is still a party and it was quite good. However, when the time to open our presents came... I owe one to someone for making me open box after box just to find another box inside :P

Además Seb decidió redecorar un poco las paredes porque habían quedado un poco sosas después de que el casero decidiera pintarlas, jeje.

And Seb decided to redecorate a bit the walls because they were quite boring after the lanlord decided to paint them, hehe.

Sicily (28-09-2007)

Diez días, alrededor de diez personas y dos caravanas para disfrutar de Sicilia. Nuestro vuelo aterrizó en Palermo, donde pasamos nuetra primera noche. Al día siguiente nos hicimos con nuetras caravanas para lanzarnos a la aventura. Muchas horas de carretera y varios campings donde pasar la noche, noches en la playa tocando la guitarra y cantando bastante desafinados, jeje.

Ten days, around ten people and two campers to enjoy Sicily. Our flight took us to Palermo, where we spent out first night. The next they we got our campers and the adventure started. Lots of hours on the road and several campings where to spend the night, nights at the beach playing guitar and singing not very tuned, jeje.

Nos pasamos por las ruinas de los templos griegos de Agrigento.

We stopped at the ruins of the greek temples in Agrigento.

Y mi parte favorita del viaje, fuimos a la isla de Favignana en ferry. Allí alquilamos bicis para recorrer la isla y visitar varias calas.

And my favourite part of the trip, we went to the island of Favignana by ferry. There we hired some bikes to go around the island and we visited some beaches.

Tamas, Guido, Ruano and Chris's leaving party (15-09-2007)

El final del verano suele traer consigo la marcha de mucha gente de BT e Ipswich, y la marcha de gente trae consigo fiestas de despedida. Cuatro ilustres personajes en esta ocasión: el trío Tamas-Ruano-Chris, disponibles para cualquier fiesta, bodas, bautizos y comuniones, etc. (botellón incluido); y Guido, padre de familia, juerguista y pensador, tres en uno y más. De nuevo en Gladstone Road abrió sus puertas para tan señalado evento :D

With the end of summer many people leave BT and Ipswich, and this of course means the coming of leaving parties. Four illustrious gentlemen left us: the Tamas-Ruano-Chris trio, always available for parties, and fun in general (botellón included); and Guido, family man, party guy and thinker, all in one and even more. Again Gladstone Road opened its doors for such an important event :D
