Porto (06-2007)

Un viaje corto pero intenso, el sábado 23 por la mañana llegamos a Oporto y el domingo por la noche ya estábamos de vuelta en casa. Tras un buen desayuno fuimos a visitar la ciudad, se notaban el ambiente festivo y los preparativos para la noche de San Juan. Por supuesto hicimos una paradita en una bodega de vino de Oporto.

A short but intense trip, the morning of Saturday the 23rd we arrived in Porto and Sunday night we were already back home. After a nice breakfast we went for some sightseeing, we could notice there was a party approaching with all the arrangements for the night of St. John. Of course we visited a Porto wine storehouse.

Cuando se acercó la noche nos hicimos con nuestros martillos de plástico y fuimos a buscar un buen sitio para ver los fuegos artificiales, impresionantes por cierto. Y luego... no había visto tanta gente por metro cuadrado ni en un ascensor a reventar, no es de extrañar que perdiésemos la pista de Alexey y Seb. Mientras ellos ligaban con unas chavalas (o eso dicen ellos :P), Maurizio, David y yo estuvimos repartiendo leña martillo en mano...

When night fell we got our plastic hammers and looked for a nice place to see the fireworks, amazing by the way. And after that... I hadn't seen so many people per square meter ever, I'm not surprised we lost Alexey and Seb in the crowd. While they were chatting up with some girls (or so they told us :P), Maurizio, David and me hit everyone we met on our way with our hammers...

Ya amaneciendo nos volvimos a encontrar de casualidad todos cerca de la playa, donde descansamos un poco para luego visitar algo más la ciudad, echar una pequeña siesta en un parque y pasar un rato en la playa antes de ir al aeropuerto.

At dawn we all met again by chance near the beach, were we had a little rest. Then we went for some more sightseeing, we had a nap in a park and we went to the beach for a while before going to the airport.
