The Orwell Walk (17-06-2007)

Menuda caminata... el objetivo era recaudar dinero para ChildLine. ¿Y cómo? Pues buscando sponsors que nos pagaban una cantidad por milla recorrida fijada por ellos (1 milla viene a ser 1.6 Km). Al final incluso acabé pagando por mí mismo :P. En principio cada caminante estimaba la distancia a recorrer (hasta 25 millas). Mi objetivo era hacer 12, pero una vez allí todos decidimos ir a por las 25.

What a long walk... the purpose was to raise money for ChildLine. And how? We had to look for sponsors to pay a certain amount of money, specified by themselves, per mile we walked (1 mile is around 1.6 Km) . I even sponsorized myself :P. Each walker had to estimate the distance to walk (up to 25 miles). I was planning to walk just 12 miles, but in the end all of us decided to try the 25.

Fue duro, incluso perdimos compañeros por el camino... (música triste de fondo).

It was hard, we even lost some mates in the way... (sad music in the background).

Pero lo logramos. Y además recibimos una camiseta de ChildLine, un diploma, ¡y un tanga! Aunque no es de mi talla, una pena, no podré usarlo en el próximo Rocky Horror Show :/

But we managed to do it. And we even received a ChildLine t-shirt, a diploma, and a thong! But it's not my size, it's a shame, I won't be able to use it in the next Rocky Horror Show :/
